Sexual Health
Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) are among the main preventable causes of ill health among New Zealanders, especially in young people. Untreated, STIs can have life-long consequences, including increased risk of infertility and a greater risk for contracting chronic diseases. It is therefore important to include regular sexual health check-ups as a normal part of your health care routines.
