Southern DHB employs 800 nurses and midwives, who work across a variety of hospital and community clinical settings and in a diverse range of nursing roles.  As the largest workforce within the organisation, there is a very strong nursing leadership structure in place at all levels, and nurses are visible and highly respected both by their clinical colleagues and the wider community.

Located in New Zealand's scenic, lower South Island, our team of nurses is based in Invercargill City; adventure capital and resort town Queenstown; and in the unique rural locations of Stewart Island, Wyndham and Tokanui.
