Senior Cardiac Physiologist – Pacing: Diagnostic Labs

Dunedin Hospital

  • Permanent, Full-time 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week) plus on-call roster

 

Southern DHB is pleased to be able to offer a full time permanent role at Dunedin hospital for a Senior Pacing Cardiac Physiologist.

 

We are looking for someone with ideally a minimum of 4 years’ experience in Pacing and Cath lab post registration. You will need to be competent and able to work independently in all aspects of pacemaker implant and pacemaker programming. You will also be involved in Pacemaker and ICD follow-up and reporting which includes remote device follow-up. We would expect you to have a knowledge of advanced Cath lab procedures including IVUS, FFR, IABP, and have commenced structural heart procedures.

 

Ideally, you will be a qualified Cardiac Pacing Physiologist with IBHRE/NASPE or similar. However, if you’re not at this stage we would support you to obtain IBRHE in the future.

 

To be considered for an interview you will need to show evidence of recent attendance of CME, hold a current APC or be eligible for an APC and have current registration (or meet registration requirements) with the Clinical Physiologists Registration Board. Your application and experience will show us you have excellent attention to detail, great communication skills with team members and patients alike and the ability to cope with busy workloads while being flexible.
