Here in the Adult Intensive and Acute Care Adult Mental Health Inpatient Unit at Wakari Hospital, Dunedin, we’re looking for Registered Nurses with relevant mental health nursing experience (preferably in an acute mental health setting) to join our team.  

 

We are particularly interested in hearing from registered nurses who are dynamic and innovative and wish to join a service that is committed to high standards of practice that supports on-going professional development.   This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to become part of a group of staff that really do work as a team, in the adult inpatient mental health service.

 

All employees of the Southern District Health Board working with in Mental Health Addiction and Intellectual Disability Services are expected to demonstrate a commitment to “The Seven Real Skills” (Te Pou Workforce Development, see www.tepou.co.nz/letsgetreal).

 

Please note that we are only able to consider your application if you:

 

  • are currently Registered with the New Zealand Nursing Council
  • have a current APC
  • hold a scope of practice that allows you to work in Mental Health
  • have current eligibility (citizenship, residency or work visa) to live and work in New Zealand
