Registered Nurse – Emergency Psychiatric Services
- Part-time (0.8FTE, 64 hours per fortnight)
- Fixed term, maternity leave for up to 12 months
Our Emergency Psychiatric Services are currently looking for a Registered with recent experience working in mental health, for this maternity leave role commencing in late June 2017. Because of the fixed term nature of this position, a secondment for current DHB employees will also be considered (subject to current line manager approval), allowing you to gain valuable experience and insight into this service.
In this challenging and rewarding role you’ll be able to put your Mental Health knowledge, experience and skills to good use, assisting the team to provide emergency mental health assessments.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the team at the Emergency Psychiatric Service and we will give preference to someone with acute ward or community crisis experience.

Please note you must be registered with the New Zealand Nursing Council under a scope of practice that allows you to practice in Mental Health, and hold a current Annual Practicing Certificate to be considered for this position.
