You will be a generalist and most likely be considering training, or are already training, as a Physician through the RACP. In return, you will be exposed to considerable general medical training that will provide you with the learnings that will allow you to successfully pass your part 1 and 2 exams.
Already an advanced trainee? Not a problem. We are accredited to take you through general medicine training.
As part of a small, but dedicated, team, you'll have excellent access to your team Consultant and the Director of Training; and unrivalled opportunities to experience any of the varied presentations to the hospital. With weekly teaching and Grand Rounds, journal clubs and regular RMO forums you'll be continually supported in your development.

It is home to two of New Zealand’s national parks offering opportunities for tramping, internationally acclaimed fishing, hunting, climbing and a wide range of outdoor pursuits. You have an abundance of choice for skiing with four ski fields within easy driving distance. Invercargill is a family friendly city with excellent educational and sporting facilities.
It is expected that you will have a minimum of 2 years post graduate medical experience.
