Registered Mental Health Professional – Rehabilitation – Community Forensic Mental Health Service

Wakari Hospital (Dunedin)

 

Permanent, 0.5 FTE (20 Hours per week)

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Health Professional to join our Community Mental Health Forensic Service based at Wakari Hospital in a rehabilitation role.

 

The role comprises intensive work with people experiencing severe enduring mental illness to develop skills for their transition and discharge from the Forensic inpatient services to the community. This includes (but not limited to) assessing, evaluating and modifying structured weekly plans to facilitate transition to the community and focusing on client’s functioning in the community. 

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic Registered Health Professional with previous experience of working in the mental health sector, preferably in a Forensic setting. We provide a good orientation to the position and will support your on-going professional development needs.
