Description

Registered Nurse – Child, Adolescent and Family Service (CAFS)

Southland Hospital

  • Permanent, 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week)

If you’re not from Southland then perhaps you don’t know just how good we have it here?  With excellent amenities, schooling, housing, recreation, great food and wine, and outstanding nature.   Some people call it the end of the earth, but we think it’s ‘the last best place’, so at the top of our list of reasons to join us at SouthernDHB is ‘the lifestyle’.  If you are familiar with Southland, then we simply don’t need to sell it to you, you already know why you’re here.

If you are a New Zealand Registered Nurse with a current APC and genuine experience in a similar role, then you may be the one that our CAFS team is searching for.  This is a vitally important role for us to fill, for the youth of Invercargill with mental health difficulties, and for their families.

Joining our multi-disciplinary team you’d bring your broad based generic caseload and mental health experience with excellent assessment and intervention skills, along with an ability to work under pressure as a team player committed to excellence in service delivery.  Above everything else, bring your passion and your unwavering belief in people’s recovery.

If you know you can make a difference, hold a positive attitude to your work and others, and you’re ready to experience all the wonderful side benefits of living and working in this great part of New Zealand (if you don’t already) then we encourage you to apply. We provide an excellent orientation to our positions and will happily support your ongoing professional development needs.

In addition, we are open to considering applications from NZ registered Occupational Therapists, Social Workers or Clinical Psychologists, with the minimum experience in the provision of psychotherapy/counselling on an individual or group basis.

Closing Date: Sunday, 6 August 2017
