Stomaltherapy Clinical Nurse Specialist

As a Stomaltherapy CNS you will provide inpatient, community, and outpatient care to all patients with output stomas across the lifespan and throughout the Otago Region.
To be successful you will have advanced knowledge and a genuine interest in Stomaltherapy. You will demonstrate advanced clinical assessment and diagnostic reasoning skills in addition to having excellent communication skills – written and oral. Time management and organisational skills are a must as will be your ability to work both autonomously and within a team.
You will be providing clinical leadership working alongside an interdisciplinary team with nursing and allied health professionals this is a varied role where you will be seen as a practitioner, educator, consultant, researcher, change agent and leader in the pursuit of clinical excellence and improved health outcomes. A high degree of self-motivation is required, willingness and self-responsibility to maintain and extend clinical knowledge, and share this will colleagues.
Our successful candidate will be a New Zealand experienced Registered Nurse, with a current APC and both passion and experience in Stomaltherapy Nursing. You will have or be working towards a Level 4 PDRP and a post graduate qualification relevant to this clinical area is essential. You must be able to be on-call weekends and evenings on a shared roster.
You will also have a current clean driver licence with the ability to travel throughout the region as required.
