Registered Nurse - Palliative Care Advisory Service
- Part-Time (0.8 FTE), Fixed-Term to January 2019
Our Palliative Care Advisory Service works alongside the clinical, nursing and allied health teams to provide a DHB wide consultative service. We are looking for a Registered Nurse to cover a period for us from now till January 2019.
This position is an exciting opportunity to join a team committed to best possible palliative care delivery to our patients in the hospital setting. The team works alongside the clinical teams to support their knowledge development in delivering palliative and end of life care. Facets of this role include direct patient assessment, clinical consultations, formal and informal education and participating in our quality programme.
We are looking for someone with a team focus who is able to work autonomously. Flexibility is a key component of this role, along with the ability to self-monitor and maintain therapeutic boundaries.
You will have extensive post registration experience, preferably within palliative care. There is an expectation that post graduate studies in palliative care will have been undertaken, or commenced.
