Communications and Engagement Advisor – Southern Future
- Permanent, 0.6 FTE (24 Hours per week)
Can you tell a story? Are you an engaging communicator, able to secure buy-in from people of all levels, and from all angles?
If you were able to answer yes to all of the above, then read on – the Southern DHB Communications Team may have just the opportunity for you.
The Southern Future programme is an organisation-wide initiative that aims to build a strong and collaborative internal culture at Southern DHB, focusing primarily on quality, safety and positive patient experiences. Following the implementation and embedding of the ‘Southern Future’ programme of work, we are now looking to fill this exciting new role with a candidate who is as passionate about driving employee culture, positive patient experiences and celebrating successes as we are!
Reporting to the Executive Director – Communications, this role will be tasked with working alongside programme teams to inform and engage with audiences, and build awareness and support for the Programme through planning, coordinating and creating effective and engaging communications materials and messages. To be successful in this position you will need to be an excellent relationship builder, as you’ll find yourself working with people across all levels of the organisation, as well as stakeholders external to the Southern DHB.
In addition to your well-rounded interpersonal skills, you too will be an excellent communicator – both written and verbally, and work well under pressure with a strong commitment to quality, accuracy and professionalism. Your background in communications, media, public relations or the likes will contribute to your success in the role, but your commitment to the Southern DHB values, and the Southern Future programme will be your ultimate seller.
Closing Date: Monday 21st August, 2017
