Executive Director Finance, Procurement and Facilities
- It all adds up to a great opportunity
- Shape our future, and yours
- New executive team forming – be a part of it!
Southern DHB is shaping up as the place to be, and we’re seeking the right people with the right attitude, skillset and drive, to make this a reality for our patients, staff and communities we serve. Significant work has been started and more lies ahead as we progress the transformation to become the clinically and financially sustainable organisation that we want to be.
This is a Tier 2 role, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, and our new Executive Director Finance, Procurement and Facilities will provide strategic, technical and managerial support, invigorating from the boardroom down, with great vision, confidence, integrity and accountability.
We’re looking for a fresh, contemporary approach to this role, to effectively manage all Southern DHB’s financial practices (including payroll), procurement activities and facilities management. (Applicants should note that the Dunedin Hospital Rebuild lies outside the responsibilities of this role). You’ll bring your substantial knowledge and experience, ideally from within the health sector. You’ll be a qualified accountant with executive level commercial experience, a strong problem solver with an eye for detail, and someone that your peers, colleagues and staff will look to for advice and support when facing the inherent challenges of all things health and finance related!
You may be just ‘the difference’ that Southern DHB needs. Your ability to lead, engage and enable your team; and your approachability and commitment to success will be evident in the roles you’ve held previously and your aspirations for the future. There is appetite for change at Southern DHB, and we want you to help our future take shape.
The Southern district offers the benefits of excellent amenities, first class primary through to tertiary education, affordable housing and outstanding recreational opportunities. Dunedin has a small city feel, with a high energy vibe. So whether it surfing, kayaking or sailing; skiing, hunting or fishing; theatre, live-music or art – there’s literally something for everyone.
