Enrolled Nurse – Ward 3 Surgical

Dunedin Hospital

 

  • Permanent, full time (40 Hours per week) (negotiable min 0.8FTE)
  • Rostered Shifts – Monday to Sunday
  • Exciting opportunity to join our newly formed ward

 

Ward 3 Surgical is a newly formed and refurbished 54 bed specialist surgery ward covering Acute and Elective Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery, Neurology, Rheumatology, ENT, Ophthalmology and Maxillofacial areas.

 

Strongly supported by a tight knit team, you will enjoy working in a unit that strives for excellence in clinical services and exemplifies the team based model of care.

 

To be successful in this very busy role you will need to have recent experience in surgical nursing or an interest in this area, be able to demonstrate resilience, won’t mind putting in some hard work and be open and willing to up-skill as required.  You’ll also be a confident communicator with a friendly demeanour and someone who values patient centred care. In return you’ll gain great work experience in a multidisciplinary team and the opportunity to develop your skills in a variety of surgical specialties.

 

You must be registered as an Enrolled Nurse under the HPCA Act 2003 and have a current Practising Certificate, transitioned to the new scope of practice.
