Contracts and Asset Accountant
A recent restructure of the Southern DHB finance team has created a great opportunity to join our high performing finance team. Significant work has been started and more lies ahead as we progress the transformation to become the clinically and financially sustainable organisation that we want to be, delivering high quality outputs to our customers - our patients, staff and communities.
The primary focus of this position is to develop and maintain the Southern DHB long term asset management plan and long term investment plan. Additionally there is responsibility for the day to day management and reporting on, of the fixed asset and contracts registers, to improve performance on contracts, assets and capital spend. You’ll implement contractual records, asset management, capital reporting and financial project systems, and ensure registry and compliance is maintained.
With a Bachelor of Commerce (or equivalent) you’ll be a chartered accountant, with 5+ years’ post graduate experience. You’ll have experience leading and managing projects, documentation systems, reporting tools; advanced excel skills, and strong report writing skills. Key attributes required for this role include being systematic, a team player, able to work to tight deadlines, and excellent record keeper, and someone who is proactive in their work habits.
