  • Permanent, part- time (20-30 hours per week)
  • Monday to Sunday, Rostered Shifts and on-call

We’re looking for positive and proactive Health Care Assistant’s to support our theatre and general perioperative roster.

Your contribution will ensure that operations run to schedule and are well prepared so that our surgeons and clinical staff are able to perform their magic.  Our team is focused on patient centred care, so your kind nature and ability to adapt to rapidly changing clinical situations will ensure the patient journey is a smooth one. This can be a physically demanding role, e.g. relocating beds/patients, and as the role title implies, you’ll spend a portion of your time in the operating theatre. The successful applicant’s will be well organised, with a positive “can do” attitude and be able to communicate clearly and openly.  An integral part of our health care team, you must be able to take direction from a variety of sources.  Experience working with people in the health sector and/or experience or knowledge of customer service would be an advantage.  Being computer literate is preferred, and full training of our systems will be given.

Before applying for this role, please take into account the following:  Our Theatres run 24/7 therefore in this position you will be rostered Monday to Sunday, and will include an on-call component for potential night and out-of-roster requirements.

Closing Date: Sunday 15th October 2017
