We have vibrant and diverse teams with a variety of skills and knowledge. We place emphasis on achieving high standards and quality care, and we have seen positive internal and external outcomes from this. You will be working across Consult Liaison, Southland Mental Health Emergency Team, Single Point Of Entry and Invercargill CMHT supporting the Clinical Team Managers, providing education, service development and clinical leadership.
We are busy teams with a wide and varied caseload because of the geography of our region. We work closely with our nursing colleagues across the hospital and place real emphasis on developing and maintaining positive relationships with families, other care agencies and community supports .
This role is to provide clinical leadership across the teams and is well supported by senior management. We are a great team to work with – stable, passionate and genuinely keen to develop new skills and knowledge to provide excellent care.
You will have support and networking with other Clinical Nurse Specialists working within Mental Health, Addictions and Intellectual Disability Services across Southern District Health Board.
It goes without saying you have or are working towards post graduate qualifications in mental health. You’ll have energy and enthusiasm for the role that permeates those around you and you’ll have a very clear vision for the future shape of mental health care.
