Speech Language Therapy

 

Introduction

The Speech Language Therapy (SLT) service sees adults and children (generally under the age of 3yrs) who have communication, voice and/or eating and drinking difficulties. They may be at home or in hospital.

 

Some children’s services are provided through the child development service (CDS).


Our patients may have language disorder or delay, degenerative medical conditions, learning difficulties, neurological conditions, voice problems, stuttering or feeding and swallowing difficulties. They may present with one or a combination of these problems.
 
Patient’s may be offered 1:1,group therapy, programmes, advice or support from a registered therapist or trained assistant.
