Forensic Services - Mental Health

Ward 9A is a medium secure unit.  Clients have either been charged with a criminal offence or alleged to have offended and are known or suspected to have a mental illness, or require assessment and treatment whilst serving a Prison Sentence, or are unable to be managed safely in general mental health services.

Community Forensic Service assesses or treats people with a suspected or severe mental illness.

The Prison Liaison Nurse provides specialist risk assessments, mental health assessments, and ongoing support for people with an established mental illness who may be on remand or completing a sentence of imprisonment.
