Diagnostic Testing

Introduction

Southland Hospitals Diagnostic Testing Department provides specialised inpatient and outpatient diagnostic procedures in the fields of cardiology, respiratory, sleep, gastroenterology and vascular medicine. 

 

Services Include:

 

Cardiology: Electrocardiogram (ECG); Ambulatory ECG; Event Monitoring; Exercise Tolerance Testing; Head-up Tilt-Table Testing; Echocardiography; Ambulatory Blood Pressure; and Pacemaker evaluation.

 

Respiratory: Spirometry, Full Pulmonary Function Testing, Methacholine Challenges; Hypertonic Saline; Asthma Exercise; ENO Studies; and Mantoux testing.

 

Sleep: Sleep Studies; CPAP and BiPAP treatment

 

Gastroenterology: Ambulatory pH Monitoring

 

Vascular: ABI Studies

 

Access to Service

Referrals for diagnostics tests must come either via your General Practioner, Private Specialist or Hospital Specialist, self referral is not accepted.

 

Hours of operation: Monday-Friday - 8.30am to 5.00pm
