Wound Care

Introduction

The wound healing process can be very complex and prolonged greatly impacting on the persons quality of life and affecting family and whanau.

 

Our Service Aims:

To provide holistic assessments and individualised management plans for people with non-healing wounds across primary (e.g. patients homes, residential care facilities) and secondary health care sectors.

To support the patient, family and whanau and provide education for self-management in a welcoming environment.

Wound Care Service - Monday - Friday 8.15am - 3.15pm

Referrals accepted from:

  • Individuals / Families / Whanau
  • Health Professionals / Providers and Caregivers
  • Community Organisations

The Wound Service is nurse-led by Mandy Pagan and includes outpatient clinics at Southland Hospital (weekly) and Gore Hospital (monthly).
