Southern Māori Health Plan

As a population group, Māori have on average the poorest health status of any ethnic group in Aotearoa/New Zealand.  There is a particular opportunity to improve the health of future generations.

The Māori Health Plan has been developed with the assistance of many participants from the Southern District Health Board and local Māori.  The overall aim of this plan is to set in place effective strategies for positive health outcomes for Māori residing in the Southern district.
