Southern District Health Board is looking for a Registered Nurse to join a highly motivated Nursing team in Ward 7c Dunedin Hospital on a permanent fulltime basis.

Ward 7c is a 16 bed Cardiology / Renal ward accepting Acute and Chronic Cardiology patients and Acute and Chronic Haemodialysis / Peritoneal Dialysis patients from Waitaki to Bluff. The ward works closely with the Renal Unit and the Coronary Care Unit, it also has a 6 bed Day Unit attached that operates Monday till Friday 0700 till 1900 which accepts both Renal Cardiology Respiratory patients for elective procedures.

The successful applicant will have the full support of the Charge Nurse Manager, Cardiology Nurse Educator and Renal Nurse Educator, and a comprehensive orientation will be given.

To be successful you will have the proven ability to work in a high output area, be highly organised and have a systematic approach to your work. You must be a team player comfortable with working alongside all members of the multidisciplinary team, able to use your initiative with ease and have the ability and confidence to practice both autonomously and collaboratively without direct supervision. You will also demonstrate a strong commitment to quality processes; and to best practice.
