Helping people live independently for longer… does this sound like a dream?….Then read on...

The Wakari Hospital based Community Occupational Therapy Team is a close-knit dedicated team of professionals with the same interests as you – “putting the patient at the centre of everything that they do”. As a Community Occupational Therapist you will spend your clinical time with patients in the community or in their homes ensuring their safety and independence for longer.

This role ideally requires an experienced Occupational Therapist who is an accredited Enable Assessor, working towards credentialing. You’ll be experienced in facilitating and prescribing complex adaptive equipment or environmental adaptations, provision of wheelchairs and or seating requirements for patients. You’ll be computer literate with strong attention to detail to allow you to complete paperwork for funding of equipment and resources.

We offer supervision and opportunities for ongoing professional development. Teaching and supervision of OT student placements, and participation in CPD is an expectation of this role.

If you are a self-motivated efficient and productive person with excellent time management skills and able to prioritise and manage a busy case load and bring energy and enthusiasm and a can do attitude, we would love to hear from you.

Very rarely do vacancies come up in this team so make the most of this rare opportunity and apply today!

You must hold a full clean drivers licence and be registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand, holding a current annual practising certificate.

Closing Date: Monday, 27 May 2019
