Administration Officer – Oncology

Our Oncology Department is looking for an experienced Administration Officer to join their team in Southland Hospital on a part-time fixed-term basis. If you enjoy working in a fast paced and busy environment then this role could be what you are looking for.
As part of this role you’ll be carrying out varied administrative duties and providing essential support to the department’s medical staff. To be successful in this very busy role you will be the kind of person who is flexible, adaptable and can cope with conflicting priorities and interruptions.
Naturally you will have a friendly and welcoming nature and be comfortable interacting with patients both in person and on the phone. As an experienced administrator you will also be skilled at juggling multiple priorities and able to remain calm under pressure. Fast and accurate dictaphone typing skills would also be an advantage as you may be required to provide assistance/cover for our Medical Typist from time to time.
Ideally you will bring the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience in a busy administration role
- Competent and confident using the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent word processing and data entry skills with a strong eye for detail
- Flexible approach with the ability to successfully prioritise your workload
- Respectful nature handling confidential, often sensitive information in a professional manner

The salary for this position is between $37,788 and $42,740 per annum and will be based on relevant experience and qualifications.
This role is 20 hours per week and these hours will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
