Social Worker - Adult Physical Health

About the Role – what’s in it for me?
You will be part of a dedicated and well established multidisciplinary team who support and respect each other. You will be responsible for assessing the client’s needs and assisting in their journey through the hospital. You will be presented interesting and challenging work with the opportunity to develop strong relationships within Southland Hospital and the wider community.
You’ll have sound social work knowledge and skills, be a team player with excellent communication skills. You will be able to think on your feet, be experienced at working under pressure and be able to multi task. You’ll be adaptable and flexible allowing you to work effectively with your clients and within a changing health environment.
We are looking for someone with endless enthusiasm, focus and confidence to continue to build the reputation of the service within the Southern community through effective liaising and dedication to making things happen in the right way.
A Professional Social Work qualification and registration is required, or being able to obtain registration with the Social Worker Registration Board within 3 months of appointment.
