Registered Nurse – Inpatient Mental Health Unit
- Permanent – part-time (0.5 FTE - 20 hours per week)
About the Southern DHB
Southern District Health Board (Southern DHB) exists to support everyone across our district to live well, and access the right care when they need it, by delivering high quality, patient-centred and equitable health services to our diverse communities.
About the Team
The Inpatient Mental Health Unit is a purpose built modern facility where care is provided by a multidisciplinary team with a broad background of experience. We work in close partnership with community teams, Allied Health care professionals and local education providers to facilitate a working environment that is supportive, challenging and reflects evidence of ongoing professional growth whilst meeting the needs of a diverse population with mental illness.
The geographic region we serve is unique and so we see a hugely varied caseload.
We are looking for an experienced Nurse (New Zealand Registered, with a current Annual Practising Certificate) to join the team as part of a Collaborative Model of Nursing Care Team.
Ideally we’re looking for a Registered Nurse with relevant mental health nursing experience (preferably in an acute mental health setting) however, if you think you have what we are looking for then we look forward to hearing from you.
The Southern district offers the benefits of excellent amenities, first class primary through to tertiary education, affordable housing and outstanding recreational opportunities. Whether it’s surfing, kayaking or sailing; skiing, hunting or fishing; theatre, live-music or art – there’s literally something for everyone. Check out https://southernhealthcareers.nz/ for what the region, and we, can offer you and your whanau.
Closing Date: Sunday 30 June 2019
