Registered Nurse -Te Punaka Oraka: Public Health Nursing
Wakari, Dunedin

  • Fulltime 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week)
  • Fixed term to 24 August 2020

Southern DHB Te Punaka Oraka: Public Health Nursing - Provides Child & Youth, Well Health Services within the community context including schools, preschools, and youth clinics, before school checks and home visiting. This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse looking to move into Public Health Nursing.

We are looking for a truly amazing New Zealand Registered Nurse with relevant clinical experience, an interest and passion for children, youth and their whanau wellbeing within a strengths based health promotion context, to join this team based in the Dunedin office. 

Experience and understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi / Maori Health equity and disparities are essential, as will be your highly developed communication skills with the ability and passion to work with a diverse range of children young people and their family’s whānau. A background in Community Health, Child Youth Health and or Mental Health would also be an advantage.

You will be open minded, quality driven, and have the ability to work both independently while being a valued member of a supportive, friendly team. It goes without saying that you will be computer literate, and have a full clean driver’s licence. It will be a strong advantage if you have any of the following credentials: vaccinator training, family planning and / or post graduate education.
