Inpatient Physiotherapist – Fixed-Term

  • New graduate or experienced clinician
  • Full-time, fixed-term (4 months)

We are seeking a proactive and efficient Physiotherapist to join our acute Inpatient Allied Health Team. This position provides an excellent opportunity to engage in targeted interdisciplinary assessment and treatment to address deconditioning avoidance and acute stroke rehabilitation on the internal medicine wards at Dunedin Hospital. You will be working with a team of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Allied Health Assistants alongside the broader interprofessional team.

We are looking for a clinician who can work autonomously while managing and prioritising a caseload within the inpatient setting. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, will be motivated in the acute ward environment, and have a proactive case-finding approach.

We take pride in supporting our staff to grow as clinicians, so we run an ongoing support and professional development programme including regular team in-services, senior staff mentoring and peer review, a comprehensive on-call competency training framework, and access to course and conference funding.

Please provide as part of your application a CV and cover letter.
