Administration Officer - Rheumatology Outpatients

Are you looking for a varied and interesting administrative role in healthcare whilst maintaining a strong work/life balance? Our Rheumatology Outpatients Service is seeking a motivated and experienced Administration Officer to join our friendly team based in Dunedin Hospital on a permanent part-time basis.

About the Role – what’s in it for me?
The majority of this position involves frontline Reception duties with a small amount of varied administrative duties to support the wider team. This is to ensure our outpatient area runs smoothly and that we provide a good patient journey. You will have excellent organisational and time management skills in addition to a professional can do attitude in line with our values.
Naturally you will have a friendly and welcoming nature and be comfortable interacting with patients both in person and on the phone. As an experienced administrator you will also be skilled at juggling multiple priorities and able to remain calm under pressure.
Ideally you will bring the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience in a busy administration role
- Competent and confident using the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent word processing and data entry skills with a strong eye for detail
- Flexible approach with the ability to successfully prioritise your workload
- Respectful nature handling confidential, often sensitive information in a professional manner

The salary for this position is between $37,788 and $42,740 per annum and will be based on relevant experience and qualifications. This role is 20 hours per week and these hours will be negotiated with the successful applicant
