Are you looking for a change or a new challenge?  Southern District Health Board has an exciting opportunity for you to make your mark.  We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Radiation Therapist to join our friendly team in Dunedin Hospital on a permanent full-time basis.

About the Role – what’s in it for me?

This position involves working as part of a dynamic team utilising innovative technology and new initiatives to deliver radiation therapy to patients within the Otago and Southland regions.  Our department equipment includes three linear accelerators and a Siemens CT scanner to plan and deliver modern radiation therapy including SABR, VMAT, IMRT, IGRT, and DIBH. We are currently installing two Elekta Versa HD linear accelerators as part of a linac replacement project, in addition to our Varian Truebeam. The department utilises the full suite of Elekta software including Monaco Treatment Planning System and MOSAIQ Patient Management System. We also provide the National Stereotactic Radiotherapy and Radiosurgery Service for New Zealand.

About You

To succeed in this role you will need to have:

  • Current registration with the MRTB and a current APC, with the right to work in New Zealand
  • Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with other professionals
  • Excellent time management, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • The ability to be adaptable, flexible and solution focused
