About the Role – what’s in it for me?
This position is both the first point of contact for families and children coming into the Children’s Outpatients Department, and the booking and scheduling of clinics.

It is a busy, diverse and ever changing landscape, so no two days are ever the same. Children’s Outpatients works with a multidisciplinary focus, and the area supports a variety of staff with Nurses, Dieticians, Clinical Psychologists, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Social Workers, many visiting clinicians, and local paediatricians and registrars.

The Booking Administrator role is integral to the smooth running of the service.

General tasks in the position would be as follows:

  • Meet and greet families, checking and updating details
  • Answering phone queries from the public and other services
  • Liaising with clinicians for booking and scheduling clinics
  • Booking children’s surgery in theatre
  • Having fun and being a good team player

About You
We are looking for an organised and systematic person, who is not fazed by changes, but can be flexible and have a ‘can do’ attitude.

You will be fun and outgoing, with a good team player spirit. You will know how to take direction, and work quickly and efficiently with systems.

It goes without saying that you will need to enjoy children and being around families.

Salary Range: $43,580 - $51,259 per annum and will be based on relevant experience.

The Southern district offers the benefits of excellent amenities, first class primary through to tertiary education, affordable housing and outstanding recreational opportunities. Whether it’s surfing, kayaking or sailing; skiing, hunting or fishing; theatre, live-music or art – there’s literally something for everyone. Check out for what the region, and we, can offer you and your whanau.
