Administration Officer – Radiology

If so, the Radiology Service at Southland Hospital could have just the role for you. We are looking for a new face to join our friendly team as an Administration Officer on a part time, permanent basis.
About the Role
Our Radiology Department are a team through and through, and this position plays an essential role in ensuring the successful provision of patient centred care by fostering a welcoming environment for patients right from the get go.Your primary duties will include providing excellent customer service in our reception area and booking and scheduling of clinics. Your varied daily tasks will include booking patients for procedures using our radiology information system and patient management system (iPM), phoning patients and responding to enquires, sending out appointment letters and changing patient appointments at short notice to suit patient and clinical need.
As this is a role that involves a significant amount of patient interaction, your personality will be your golden ticket, however you will also need to have administration experience, and be able to pick up on new systems quickly. We use a variety of programs at the Southern DHB, both in house as well as the full Microsoft Office suite of products.
Personally, you will need to be bubbly and empathetic, a master multi-tasker, who can ensure smooth patient flow as well as the upkeep of administration processes. You will be a team player through and through, with an innate ability to relate to people from all walks of life. You will need to be comfortable with high patient traffic flow, so your efficiency and level headed nature will be put to use daily.
The salary range for this position is based on the PSA Collective Agreement Clerical Scale 3 ($36,239 to $42,740) pro rata, and will be based on relevant experience and skills.
