Southern DHB Te Punaka Oraka: Public Health Nursing - Immunisation outreach – This is a great opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Invercargill team.

This role has been developed to ensure children have access to flexible arrangements for vaccination services on time in order to provide the best protection from vaccine preventable diseases. In addition, the service provides child and youth well health services within the community context including schools, preschools, before school checks and home visiting. 

We are looking for a truly amazing New Zealand Registered Nurse with relevant clinical leadership skills, an interest and passion for well health in children, youth and their whānau, to join this team in Invercargill.

Experience and understanding of the Treaty of Waitang i/ Maori health equity and disparities are essential, as will be your highly developed communication skills with the ability and passion to work with a diverse range of children young people and their family’s whānau.

You will be open minded, quality driven, and have the ability to work both independently while being a valued member of a supportive, friendly team. It goes without saying that you will be computer literate, and have a full clean driver’s license. It will be a strong advantage if you have experience in Well Child / Youth / Whanau Ora Health.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse looking to move into Public Health Nursing.
