Registered Midwife – Maternity Ward
Southland Hospital

  • 3 month fixed term contract 
  • Minimum of 0.5 FTE – 40 hours per fortnight (larger options available) 
  • Could suit a local LMC that’s looking for extra hours in quieter months 

About the Team
Here at Southland Hospital we value the care we offer mothers, babies and families in our maternity unit. Our brand of care and compassion involves a very special blend of strength, compassion and cool-headedness in the midwives who help babies into the world. 

About the Role – what’s in it for me? 
We birth around 1200 babies every year and we work very closely together with the LMCs to ensure that both mother and baby get the level and type of care that they deserve. We are looking for experienced midwives with a commitment to quality care and who embody our Southern DHB values, Kind, Open, Positive and a Sense of Community in all that they do.

About You
If you are a Registered Midwife and you think you’d like working on a flexible basis in a team where integrity, honesty and a great sense of humour count we look forward to hearing from you. To be eligible for this role you will need to be a NZ Registered Midwife with a current practicing certificate.
