Our Health Care Assistants play a vital role within our services and the wider organisation. Supporting our nurses and other members of the health care team, this could be the ideal way to kick start (or re-start) your career in health.
About the Opportunity
If you like variety and like to be busy, this could be perfect. We have a vacancy now for a permanent Health Care Assistant to join our team. It is important that you are motivated, flexible, have a level of maturity and of course plenty of enthusiasm. If you have high standards, good organisational skills and a proven ability to carry out manual tasks, we would love to hear from you!
It is essential that you can communicate clearly and concisely and have a positive attitude towards work.
You will simply need to have experience dealing with people in a caring capacity. Whether that is in an occupational capacity from a former place of work or by simply caring for your children or family members. Life experience counts for a lot in this role!
About the Southern DHB
We are responsible for planning, funding and providing health and disability services to a population of over 315,000 located South of the Waitaki River. Our catchment area encompasses Invercargill City, Queenstown - Lakes District, Gore, rural Southland, Clutha, Central Otago, Maniototo, Waitaki District and Dunedin City. This means Southern DHB serves the largest geographic region of all New Zealand's Health Boards.
