Southland Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an experience Registered Nurse to join their passionate team on a part-time, permanent basis.
About the Service
Primarily based in Southland Hospital, this autonomous position also affords the opportunity to visit and care for patients at home in the community around the Southland Region, offering you the chance to expand your range of patient centred skills. As such, the role is a multi-faceted position where no two days are ever the same, presenting ample opportunities for professional development for those who are motivated.
About the Role – what’s in it for me?
This role works in close collaboration with a small team of Respiratory Clinical Nurse Specialist’s and Registered Nurses who work hard to support one another in an effort to provide quality, patient centred care no matter the location. Joining us is an excellent opportunity for a nurse wanting more autonomy and further opportunities in Respiratory or Management of Long term Conditions nursing with the full support of a tight knit team.
This position really focuses on bridging the gap between primary and secondary care so if you value teamwork and are able to effectively prioritise workloads you will feel right at home with us. Ideally you will be a Senior Registered Nurse with advanced assessment and exceptional communication skills; and a full, clean driver’s licence is essential.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have:
- Current registration with the New Zealand Nursing Council and a current APC, with the right to work in New Zealand
- Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with other professionals
- Excellent time management, interpersonal and organisational skills
- The ability to be adaptable, flexible and solution focused
- A full, clean driving licence
