About the Role – what’s in it for me?
We have a wonderful opportunity for an outgoing, organised and caring individual to be based in Therapies Department on a permanent part-time basis.
You will be working as part of the AT&R team, and will have opportunity to work in other areas as well.
In this role you’ll work with our inpatient team and deliver rehabilitation programmes designed to assist patients to become independent in their own environments. You'll be enthusiastic and committed, with the ability to follow instructions while using your initiative and common sense.
You should also consider yourself physically fit and able as there is a physical element to the role. You must have a full driver’s licence. Applicants should be able to demonstrate confidence with computer skills.
Previous experience working with people, and in environment promoting independence would be a distinct advantage. For the right person this is truly a rewarding opportunity.
You must be trustworthy, reliable, have excellent communication skills, be flexible and responsive to service needs, have experience working with older people, and have the ability to work under the direction and delegation of registered health professionals.
You will need to have had two years’ experience working in the health sector and a full clean NZ driver licence.
To be successful in the role you will have a strong commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
