About the Role
An exciting vacancy has come up in the Ophthalmology Outpatients Department for a Registered Nurse to join their team on a permanent full time basis (1.0 FTE). Hours worked are usually rostered Monday to Friday, however the occasional Saturday cover may be required.
Our Ophthalmology Outpatients Department is undergoing change and wishes to support the development of advanced nursing roles. The Department offers a highly varied workload and the opportunity to work in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment. Enthusiastic nurses with a “can do”’ positive attitude who enjoy the challenge of a working in a busy but rewarding environment and who can demonstrate adherence to high nursing practice standards will thrive.

The work in this specialty is varied and interesting, Nursing in ophthalmology offers exciting opportunities to develop and expand your practice, including learning to deliver intravitreal injections and running nurse-led clinics. You are a Registered Nurse with a patient focused approach, excellent nursing assessment skills and the desire to expand your practice. You will possess strong organisation skills, flexibility and the ability to demonstrate exceptional initiative. Experience in ophthalmology would be an advantage.
