About the Role – what’s in it for me?

The role of Digital Solutions Manager / Architect will be responsible for the strategic vision, direction, and roadmaps of solutions (both vendor & in-house) and the BI/data capabilities.   The role will be responsible for oversight of requirements analysis and identifying of new solution opportunities and selections.  Then the overview of the design, architecture, and implementation of new solutions through to handover to digital operations (BAU).   Active involvement in the oversight of projects including assistance in the business change transformation and management.      

This role will provide management and leadership to the technical solutions resources (e.g., developers, SharePoint specialist, BI specialists, DBA, technical BAs, etc.), analysts (business, solution, application, and reporting), and oversight of project implementation resources.   

A key responsibility of this role is developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders of all levels in order to understand business capability, gaps, and problems with both the current and future states.   The role need to combine the business and solution knowledge domains in order to communicate, promote, and influence the application and solutions strategy of the SDHB.   

As a senior member of the IS leadership, you will also contribute to the overall strategic direction and workforce capability.


About You

We are looking for an experienced leader who can demonstrate both strategic and operational vision and be able to translate that in real terms to teams and individuals.  It is essential you have a Bachelor degree with a major in computer science or the equivalent level of learning, as well as a minimum of ten years of information technology experience with increasing leadership responsibilities.  Excellent relationship, budget and contract management experience will be required in this key role which will draw on your sound business management skills.   For a full list of accountabilities please review the position description.
