We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Enrolled Nurse to join our friendly team in Dunedin Hospital on a permanent, part-time basis.


About the Role – what’s in it for me?

Ward 7c is a 16 bed Cardiology / Renal ward accepting Acute and Chronic Cardiology patients and Acute and Chronic Haemodialysis / Peritoneal Dialysis patients from Waitaki to Bluff. The ward works closely with the Renal Unit, the Coronary Care Unit, and the 6 bed Day Unit that operates Monday till Friday 0700 till 1900 (accepting both Renal and Cardiology patients for elective procedures). The successful applicant will have the support of a CNM, a Cardiology Nurse Educator and Renal Nurse Educator. In addition a full and comprehensive orientation will be given to the successful candidate.

To be successful you will have the proven ability to work in a high output area, be highly organised and have a systematic approach to your work. You will be a natural team player working with all members of the multidisciplinary team, able to use your initiative with ease, and have the ability and confidence to practice both autonomously and collaboratively, without direct supervision. You will also demonstrate a strong commitment to quality processes; and to best practice.
