We are looking for a positive and proactive Health Care Assistant to support our team within Ward 8 Med on a permanent part-time basis. This role also has the distinct advantage of offering a set shift pattern so you know exactly when you will be required!

About the Role
This is a vibrant and dynamic ward that meets the needs of patients presenting with a full range of acute medical conditions. We pride ourselves on having a strong focus on customer service, and its success is reliant on effective communication and teamwork.
The shifts available are:
Weekly basis - Wednesday and Friday 1700-2100 hours (2 x 4 hour shifts)
Fortnightly basis – Sunday 1700-2100 hours (1 x 4 hour shift every other week)
This role will see you primarily focusing your attention to the overall needs of the unit. This role is within a clinical environment, and as an exceptional team player you will need to be able to take instruction and direction from the nurses on the ward, whilst having a helpful and team focused approach to making a difference to the environment and care provided the patients under our care.
As Health Care Assistant you will be involved in:
- Supporting our nurses and other members of the healthcare team
- Patient supervision and/or movement
- Clerical duties as required
- Stock reconciliation
- Ward maintenance
We are a friendly and inclusive team and you will receive a full orientation onto the ward, and training in all aspects of the role.
