Chairperson Alliance South
Do you want to take on a leadership role, driving real transformational change in health care services in the Southern District?
Southern DHB and WellSouth Primary Health Network are seeking a new Chair for our Southern Alliance, helping to make health care services more effective, genuinely patient-centric and better connected across Otago and Southland.
As Chair of Alliance you will help oversee the implementation of the Primary and Community Care Strategy and Action Plan, ensuring that transformational change to the delivery of health care happens while plans for the new Dunedin Hospital and Community Health Hubs continue to take shape.
What we’re looking for
A respected decision-maker who is prepared to be unrelenting in making change happen in an environment of competing demands. You have a practical outlook, are a consensus-builder and have a demonstrable commitment to the achieving improved Māori health outcomes.
Our ideal candidate’s application will show:
- Strong governance/advisory role experience in a multi-stakeholder environment
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Strong networks and community connections
- Cultural safety and cultural awareness. Experience engaging within Māori communities is an asset
- Understanding and relevant knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
Who we are
Alliance South is the partnership between Southern DHB and WellSouth Primary Health Network, overseeing the implementation of the Primary and Community Care Strategy, driving the integration of health services and promoting the health and well-being of people and communities across the Southern district.
The Alliance South Chair leads the Alliance Leadership Team (ALT) comprised of community leaders and community, primary and secondary health care professionals. This is a paid position.
