About the opportunity
We are seeking an experienced health professional to lead our Allied Health Unit at Dunedin Hospital. We are looking for a dynamic individual who is interested in developing interdisciplinary team capability while delivering on the key accountabilities of operational leadership, service planning, quality and risk management, and financial performance. The Unit is well established and there is plenty of momentum and improvement which has been led and embedded by operational and professional leaders. There is the opportunity is for you to drive that forward and help the allied health teams go from good to great. There’s also a new Dunedin Hospital to look forward to in the future, so the timing is great to consider your next move!
This key position really has it all – team management, finances, day to day operations and plenty of scope for continuous improvement.
It is essential that you are a registered allied health professional and have a background and experience in Allied Health leadership / management in order to build credibility with your team and hit the ground running. It is a busy role, so coaching and leading your team to achieve timely and appropriate service outcomes, and working in partnership with Professional Leaders for accreditation, clinical pathway development and service improvement will be important. You’ll bring fresh thinking, innovation and a commitment to service excellence and your interpersonal skills are second to none.
The nature of our organisational structure and the range of vocations within Allied Health brings inherent challenges, so you will need to be an effective collaborator and communicator with excellent judgment and demonstrated success in working through others.
