About the opportunity

We have a unique opportunity for you as a Dental Assistant in our North Otago team, based in Oamaru, as part of the Southern District Health Boards Community oral Health Service.


About You

You’ll be a people person who enjoys working with children, is culturally sensitive, and excellent customer service will come to you naturally. If you have experience as a Dental Assistant, that’s great, and if you don’t, we will train you into what could be a great career path.

You'll have a pleasant telephone manner, strong administration skills and an awareness of the need for confidentiality of patient records and information. As part of a small team you will be self-motivated with good organisational skills and participatory team member.

Flexibility is required to work between the hours of 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday, and at times be able to undertake clinics elsewhere within the Southern DHB.

Dental Assistant experience is preferred but not essential as training will be given.
