About us

This is an exciting time in the world of Finance at the Southern District Health Board (SDHB) as we introduce an upgraded Oracle financial system. The Health Finance Procurement Information Management System (FPIM) changes much of what we do now. The project team are enthusiastic about creating an improved, efficient financial platform.

 

About the opportunity

As a key part of our FPIM team, you will be responsible for training our stakeholders throughout the Southern region. This role will see you engaging with managers and teams at all levels of the organisation to deliver relevant, practical training to ensure the 1000+ staff members impacted by this change are able to take it in their stride and feel confident using our new system. This is a national solution with training tools developed nationally and customised by the FPIM Trainer for the Southern region.

You will be working alongside a supportive, 17 person strong, project team consisting of a range of Subject Matter Experts and other project specialities.

This is a fixed term position for 12 months, within the Finance team based at Wakari Hospital, Dunedin.

 

About you

This is a key role within an exciting project that we have been looking forward to delivering. We’re looking for someone who is keen to drive our project forward! To succeed in this role you will  have:

  • Solid knowledge of accounting
  • Excellent understanding of financial systems and end to end processes
  • Hands-on experience of delivering engaging training to a range of audiences
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
  • The ability to adjust your approach and style to suit  your audience
