The Oncology / Haematology Service is a busy, challenging but very rewarding place to work, and comprises of the acute Oncology / Haematology in-patient ward, Oncology Day Unit, Outpatient Clinics and Radiation Therapy treatment areas. We are looking for a fabulous Health Care Assistant to join us on a permanent, part-time basis.
About the Role
As Health Care Assistant you will be involved in:
- Supporting our nurses and other members of the health care team
- Patient supervision and/or movement
- Stock reconciliation
- Ward maintenance
This particular role has the added benefit of having set shifts, which is a real bonus in the health industry. The hours for this role will be:
Monday – Friday inclusive
8am – 2pm (inclusive of a meal break)
We are particularly interested in hearing from applicants who are dynamic, friendly and can demonstrate a high level of initiative. You will be committed to high standards of practice, be well organised and have excellent communication skills.
It is important that candidates are motivated, flexible, have a level of maturity about them and of course plenty of enthusiasm. Experience working with people in a caring capacity is also essential, whether that is in a professional environment or in your personal life caring for children or family members.
