Dunedin Hospital

  • 2 x Part-time, fixed term positions are available
  • 0.8FTE (32 hours per week) between 31/08/2020 – 25/07/2021
  • 0.5FTE (20 hours per week) between 28/09/2020 – 20/07/2021

Are you looking for a new challenge? Our dedicated and supportive team in Ward 7A & 7B is seeking two highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurses to join our friendly team in Dunedin Hospital on a fixed-term, part-time basis. The reason for the fixed terms is to provide cover for colleagues who will be on parental leave.

About the Role – what’s in it for me?
Within this role you will work closely with other departments in the hospital and have the opportunity to build up a high level of skill and knowledge which will be valuable for the rest of your career in areas such as BiPAP, CPAP and ECG Interpretation. You’ll be expected to develop and use advanced assessment skills and knowledge to deliver the highest standards of patient care. The environment is fast paced, but the work is rewarding and you will be closely supported by a tight knit team all dedicated to providing the highest quality patient care.

About You
We’re looking for nurses who are experienced and organised, friendly and calm, able to work independently and at the same time genuinely interested in the best outcome for both patient and team.
To succeed in this role you will need to have:

  • Current registration with the New Zealand Nursing Council and a current APC, with the right to work in New Zealand
  • Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with other professionals
  • Excellent time management, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • The ability to be adaptable, flexible and solution focused
  • Previous experience in High Dependency, Acute or Coronary Care skills and Level 6 CPR would certainly be an advantage.
