About the Role
Our Radiology Service provides to a population of approximately 310,000 people over the lower South Island, our work is predominately emergency and inpatient cases. You’ll work across all areas of ultrasound – including general, paediatrics, musculoskeletal, vascular, abdo, obstetrics and women’s health and every other aspect you can think of. You’ll also have opportunities to work alongside our Radiologists to help out on interventional procedures.
Our Ultrasound department is well appointed with the latest technology and our staff enjoy the variety of cases they see daily. We encourage a team-focused approach to the service we deliver and excellent time management and decision making skills are essential as well as the ability to work under pressure. You will participate in an ‘out of hours’ on call roster, shared equally amongst your Sonographer colleagues.

Along with excellent spoken and written English, you’ll need a qualification in ultrasound, as well as a current practicing certificate and to be (or able to be) registered with the NZ Medical Radiation Technologist Board (NZMRTB).
