We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced pharmacist to join our friendly service in Southland Hospital on a part-time, fixed term basis to provide parental leave cover for one of the team.
We are a community-orientated hospital (not too big and not too small) providing a full range of secondary care services including general dispensary pharmacy, drug information and advice, education and counselling, and extemporaneous manufacture. In this environment you will be encouraged to have a go at everything, which will both challenge and extend your clinical experience and skills. We provide a wide range of clinical services encompassing both generalist and specialist skills so there’s no better place to move your career forward.
You will be a natural at working and contributing as part of a team, have excellent time management skills and a very high standard of ethical and professional practice. You will be a great communicator in both verbal and written language, adapting to the needs of the audience. A mature approach is also essential as is having the ability to adapt to an ever-changing health environment.
Hospital pharmacy experience is preferred but not absolutely essential as we may be able to offer full orientation to hospital pharmacy practice for the right candidate. You must however be registered or eligible to register as a Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Council of New Zealand under the provisions of the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003, with the right to work in New Zealand.
