About the opportunity
An internal move within our team has created a permanent fulltime position, based in Dunedin, for an experienced and confident HR Business Partner reporting to the Senior HR Manager. In this role you’ll provide strategic and tailored people centric advice across a range of functions including workforce planning, performance and change management, industrial and employment relations, and remuneration coupled with a partnership approach with unions.
You’ll be instrumental in guiding, supporting and coaching not only our business leaders but our wider HR Team as well, including HR Consultants who you’ll work closely with. We want your fresh thinking; someone we can all learn from and bounce ideas with. It’s a two-way street though, with plenty of opportunities for you to stretch your practice and grow where no two days will be the same!
Skills you need to be effective in this role:
- 8+ years broad HR generalist experience, preferably at business partner/senior advisor level.
- Strong technical HR knowledge, in an NZ employment relations context
- Able to take the lead on difficult or sensitive performance and change management processes
- Ability to negotiate and resolve employee issues
- A naturally skilled and influential communicator
- Honest and able to build constructive relationships, particularly with Unions
An essential requirement of course, is that we need you to be able to hit the ground running and think on your feet in this busy role. If you are resilient and flexible; someone who thrives in a dynamic and changing environment, creates energy in a team and just likes getting out there and doing it, then hit apply now!
